Announcing a New Chapter for Emulsify

For the past several years, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the product lead for Emulsify, working alongside an incredible team of designers and developers dedicated to pushing the boundaries of design systems in the open-source space. Today, I’m announcing that I am stepping down from this role, and Emulsify will be entering its next chapter under the leadership of someone who has been instrumental to its success—Callin Mullaney.

Callin has been the engineering lead for Emulsify for the past several years and a contributor even longer. His expertise, vision, and deep understanding of both the technical and strategic aspects of the project have played a critical role in shaping what Emulsify is today.

Without his contributions, the project would not have undergone its modernization and growth into a more flexible and scalable design system solution.

One of Callin’s most significant achievements has been the creation of a new core for Emulsify that can be updated independently of the Drupal theme, providing a much more sustainable and adaptable approach for developers. This shift has been a game-changer, ensuring that Emulsify remains future-proof and can evolve alongside the broader web ecosystem.

Additionally, Callin is leading an exciting Renaissance for Emulsify—revitalizing our WordPress support and expanding our component library to include web components and React components, making it even more versatile. His leadership in these areas demonstrates his commitment to making Emulsify not just a tool, but a truly comprehensive solution for component-driven development across platforms.

I am supremely confident in Callin's ability to take Emulsify forward.

His dedication, technical acumen, and vision for the future make him the perfect person to lead the project into its next phase of innovation.
